MOVING FORWARD  when life slows down In these times it's been interesting to see how people, schools and businesses have adapted to the limitations placed upon them. My cousin whose cookie baking business @la_ti_dough on Instagram took a devastating hit when birthday parties and special events everywhere just cancelled overnight! She quickly turned the negative circumstances into an opportunity to create gorgeous cookie decorating boxes as a yummy activity for children to do from home. My girls loved their Easter themed cookie box! Schools are delivering their curriculums online, church services are live on You Tube, friends have gone from connecting in living rooms to connecting on Zoom, artists are performing for their fans via Instagram live stories, zoos are streaming tigers, elephants and giraffes from their enclosures, bakers are shipping their sourdough to all the aspiring chefs at home and the list goes on! GIFT & EFFECT The cause & effect of the gifts I've received Since I was three years of age I loved visiting my aunty Maria. She was a singing teacher and the funnest person. But by mid week however, my life is unravelling. The sink is filled to the brim with dirty dishes whilst the dishwasher is packed with clean dishes that were washed two days ago. My toddler's damp swim suit and towel are crumpled up in some random corner of the house whilst my bathroom sink looks like I knocked a shelf over in the beauty aisle and (what the heck!) my jeans are feeling tight on me! Despite how full my life has become while balancing motherhood, marriage and running my own business, the call to sing remains a powerful force in my life. Perhaps you're a young student with a mountain of assessments that seem to be coming at you relentlessly while your juggling that with a part-time job. Maybe you find yourself at the peak of your career and your work ...
